Kern River Outfitters' 2009 Guide School is a five-day comprehensive course designed to give newcomers to the sport of whitewater rafting the basic skills necessary to run whitewater rivers confidently and safely.
For 2009, the course will be begin on Monday, June 15th, and run through Friday, June 19th.
This course is the first step in becoming a guide for Kern River Outfitters, but we also cater to the private boater who is interested in perfecting their rafting skills. The price of $595.00 is subject to a Forest Service 3% visitor fee.
Our Guide School is limited to a small number of students and taught by expert instructors noted for their experience and teaching ability. This limited class size allows our instructors to provide the individual attention necessary to produce top quality guide candidates.
